Wedding Cake Cookies with Martha Stewart and Macy’s!

I always say ‘my cookies get to go to the coolest parties’ and last night I totally party crashed the fun! I was super excited to be asked to do a wedding cake cookie favor for the Macy’s Herald Square book signing party for Martha Stewart’s latest (and totally amazing) book, Martha Stewart Weddings Ideas & Inspiration. My friend Kait, who was a stylist with me on the Martha Show, is engaged so we knew it would be the perfect ladies night out.

We iced this cookie in 2 layers. The first layer in flat white royal icing then allowed that layer to fully dry before adding the decoration details and topping them with sanding sugar.

The space was set up so beautifully and I have to admit I got super excited when I saw that Macy’s styled their signature cubes near the registry section with a cookie! Wow! We waited on line so Martha could sign Kait’s book… When it was our turn I totally yelled “Hi Martha! Kait’s engaged!” It was a little loud but I get so excited about weddings! (Sorry Kait!)

Martha was excited to hear about all the details of planning so far. Afterwards we shopped around, made a must-do visit to the Macy’s shoe floor (yes, an entire floor) and ended the night with some martinis and wedding planning. A perfect Ladies Night indeed!
